Webinar: Joint Guidelines on the Diagnosis and Management of von Willebrand Disease
The American Society of Hematology (ASH), International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH), National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF), and World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) came together to develop updated clinical practice guidelines on the diagnosis and management of VWD. The product of unparalleled international collaboration and patient involvement, these guidelines provide evidence-based recommendations that address clinical questions prioritized by stakeholders and identify key areas for further research.
In this webinar to be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, from 2:00-3:00 PM EST, three of the guideline development panelists, Jean Grow, PhD, Nathan Connell, MD, MPH, and Angela Weyand, MD, will present key recommendations from the guidelines, the process through which they were developed, and implications for the improved diagnosis and management of people with VWD. Register now!
Learning objectives:
- Describe the process used to develop the guidelines, including unique efforts to integrate input from international stakeholders and patients.
- List examples of the potential impact of the recommendations on the diagnosis of VWD in people with abnormal bleeding.
- Describe the importance of implementing the VWD management recommendations in diverse clinical settings.
