Upcoming Case Conversation: Iron Deficiency and Fatigue Among Adolescents with Bleeding Disorders

FWGBD’s next Case Conversation program will be held on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ET. Co-Authors and FWGBD faculty, Drs. Ayesha Zia and Sarah O’Brien will guide us through their publication, Iron deficiency and fatigue among adolescents with bleeding disorder. Published in the American Journal of Hematology in October 2021, this article highlights the findings of their study to examine the prevalence of iron deficiency and fatigue in adolescents with and without bleeding disorders and to investigate if iron deficiency without anemia is associated with a bleeding disorder in adolescents with heavy menstrual bleeding.
