Emerging Genetic Treatment Shows Promise for Severe Endometriosis

Researchers at Michigan State University have identified a potential genetic target for treating a severe, more painful form of endometriosis. The researchers have found a link to a mutation in ARID1A, causing the “super-enhancers” to run wild, leading to uterine lining cells to form deep implants outside the uterus and causing pelvic pain.
