Hematology for Reproductive Health

Foundations for the Hematology Team is a self-paced program for healthcare professionals who are interested in pursuing additional training in the medical management of women and girls with blood disorders with an emphasis on the hematological aspects.

This program seeks to increase the number of healthcare professionals with knowledge regarding the blood disorders that impact women and girls and their diagnosis and management, connect new professionals with blood disorder experts at national WGBD-designated clinics, and build peer networks for ongoing support.

FWGBD’s Foundations Program provides healthcare professionals additional training in the hematologic and reproductive health management of women and girls with blood disorders.

Intended for Residents and Fellows, this series of pre-recorded presentations offers two tracks: Hematology for Reproductive Health and Reproductive Health for the Hematologist.

At the completion of this program, learners will be equipped with knowledge to:

  • Improve the quality of care provided to individuals impacted by blood disorders;
  • Improve care coordination among healthcare professionals; and
  • Increase collaboration between hematologists and reproductive health specialists in their care for women and girls with blood disorders.
