This state-of-the-science Webinar will detail and disseminate information related to the diagnosis and management of fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT). The Webinar will feature a leading expert in the area of immune thrombocytopenia who will listen to the presentation of two current cases and then provide an overview of the necessary diagnostic testing when FNAIT is suspected as well as the recent recommendations for FNAIT management and treatment. The case presentations and discussion will be followed by a brief Q & A with the audience. In addition, special focus will be on the maternal and fetal considerations professionals must address in making evidence-based decisions, as well as describe the ways in which collaboration with obstetrics/gynecology augments management.
