Topic: Women and Girls with Bleeding Disorders: Challenges in Diagnosis and Management
Presenter: Robert Sidonio, Jr., MD, MSc
When: May 18th, 2017, 2:00-3:00 PM, ET
In this webinar, Dr. Sidonio will review the challenges in the diagnosis and management of women and girls with bleeding disorders.
Gender-specific bleeding assessment tools have been created to help with the rapid identification of women and girls who are at highest risk for bleeding disorders and, therefore, should receive diagnostic testing. However, hematologists, emergency department physicians, and ob-gyn providers continue to lack awareness of the usefulness of these assessment tools.
