The Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders is seeking an experienced Manager of Education who will assist in ensuring educational excellence of on-line and live education programs of FWGBD. The primary responsibility of the Manager of Education is to assist in ensuring educational excellence in the on-line and live education programs of the Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders (FWGBD); and in the medical or healthcare journal articles and monographs produced by the Foundation. The Manager is responsible for assisting in or coordinating the editing and writing of medical and nursing journal articles for the Foundation. The Manager also works with medical and health publishers to secure permissions for FWGBD’s use of medical and health articles and abstracts related to blood disorders in women and girls. Additionally, the Education Manager assists, via the Web, in education program development by our faculty for Webinars and in-person education programs.

The Manager of Education reports to the Director of Education. Three to four times per year, the Manager will travel nationally to help facilitate education programs at national medical or healthcare meetings, disseminating articles and abstracts from our booth and/or during our medical program. The Manager assists the Director in the development of educational content, and in the CME (Continuing Medical Education accreditation) application process.

Three to five years of experience in health/non-profit sector, as well as a Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Education, Sciences or related field is preferred; background in sciences, science/medical writing an important plus.
